I guess it's time to move on, isn't it? What could have been, what should have been; all that is meaningless because in the end, it isn't. It's funny how something so ironic can make you so depressed. Yes, we started off happy together, but in the end we were left broken hearted. Yet I don't understand why you are. Why be with someone if they don't make you smile? I guess I'll step aside & let time heal this one.

If your feet hurts, he'll be willing to switch shoes with you & wear your heels while you wear his runners. He'll suffer the pain & embarrassment while you're comfortable & laughing at him; now that's someone I wouldn't be afraid to fall for.

And I've got to apologize for pushing you away. And it might be hurting you, but I can't help myself. Each & every time you try to reach out to me, I want to give in. It's killing me inside, yet I can't stop being so stubborn.

She sits on her bed with her hair in a ponytail, listening to the song they once called theirs. And she wonders why people choose a song they would hate later on in the future. She wonders why in every song about love make it seem so alive, so caring & so vulnerable, yet so delicate, when lies are hidden beneath each word. Once the secrets are exposed, the song dies along with the love that use to think the words expressed their feelings in the first place. And the words did express their feelings, it just didn't show the heartbreak through the smiles as you sung along when you used to love it.

who could turn every frown into a smile in a
few simple words. That person who lifted my
head when I was losing faith in myself. that
one person who carried tears on her shoulders
after every fight, every break up, every death.
that one person who always knew what i was
feeling by the look on my face. that one person
who accepted who I was when everyone else
laughed in my face. that one person that
accepted every decision I made believing that
id make the right decisions. That one person who
knew who I really was. That one person that made
the biggest difference in my life. my best friend.
